Finnish Institute in Estonia is supporting the Baltic Sea Campaign
The aim of the Finnish Institute is to mediate Finnish culture, skills, knowledge and civil society values and contacts in Estonia. In cooperation with the Finnish Embassy, the Finnish Institute has coordinated and organized Baltic Sea Day in Estonia to encourage people to enjoy our unique home sea and to contribute to it with concrete actions. It is definitely necessary to deepen the general awareness of the diversity, value, culture and history of the Baltic Sea.
This year, Baltic Sea Day marks the start of a joint campaign between Tallinn and Helsinki, during which efforts are made to do even more for the Baltic Sea environment and green cities. So it is natural that we also spend this year's Baltic Sea Day cleaning up, so that our coasts and thus our common sea will remain intact and literally breathe easier.
We invite everyone, both individuals and organizations, to take part in the Baltic Sea Day and the Save Our Sea campaign, to organize various thematic activities and to participate in the clean-up efforts. Take a closer look at www.laanemerepaev.ee, let us know your ideas and let's celebrate Baltic Sea Day together on August 31!
